1- Because of the horrible gifts my family gave me last year and I'm scared of what may happened this year e.e

3- I will have to buy new clothes and more and more and more and more, it's going to drive me CRAZY.

There's literally no difference between who you are on the day before your birthday, and who you are on the day after. Your family's crappy gifts don't matter in the long run -- you might remember them in ten years. Maybe.

| Most of my clothes are from when I was in high school, and I'm 21 lmfao
My husband is 28 and still wears a lot of stuff from when he was in high school, one of his favorite shirts is his old choir shirt... Lol
But yeah, I remember freaking out at 18 lol, but things really don't change much, and hey, maybe you get crummy gifts, but at least the sentiment is there, I had plenty of birthdays where my family didn't get stuff for me. (I'm also not very materialistic so I didn't care about that) | |
